Namesake Origin
Amidst a journey that started with setbacks and unexpected detours, here I was in Bulgaria atop of a mountain overlooking Seven Rila Lakes (Седемте рилски езера). My group had turned back, but I had come this far and was focused on getting to the top ridge. As I crested, I was reward with the peaceful beauty of these interconnected lakes flowing through this mountainous landscape which gently blended into the distant clouded sky. That moment showcased that Nature's simplicity is built upon layers of interconnected complexity. The name thus pays tribute to that moment and that desire and determination to follow a different path; to push beyond where others stop.
